The Engineering Manager will supervise and support Project Managers and Engineers as they design, detail, manage, and oversee equipment development and production--both mechanical and electrical.
We require an individual with a proven track record of supervision, analysis, and technical proficiency.
General responsibilities 1.
Supervision:
Lead a team, being familiar with each member's status, being there to support.
2.
Scheduling:
Maintain and audit an Engineering Schedule for accurate projection and reporting.
4.
Standardization:
Create, refine, train team to a set of standard operating procedures (SOPs.
) 5.
Support:
Provide oversight to team members, assisting while holding them accountable.
6.
Reporting:
Generate key performance indicators (KPIs) to reflect team member efficiency.
7.
Quality Control:
Monitor and review work produced by team, strictly enforcing SOPs.
7.
Other:
Work as directed by President, Chief Operations Officer, and Director of Operations.
Minimum Qualifications Mechanical Engineering degree, or other combined with experience.
2 years experience directly supervising a team of engineers.
5 years experience managing projects totaling at least $1M/year.
10 years experience in a heavy manufacturing environment.
Ability to travel between Oregon and Ohio once every 6 weeks.
Must live within a 100-mile radius of Perry, Ohio or Albany, Oregon.
Preferred Qualifications Experience designing and detailing custom machinery.
Experience working with electrical and control systems.
Technical expertise in rollforming industrial equipment.
Experience designing hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
Experience in machining, fabrication, and assembly.
Advanced credential in Mechanical Engineering, e.
g.
, MS degree or PE license.
