Starting Pay Rate:
$15.
00 per hour and a FREE Family YMCA membership.
Essential Functions:
Develop strategies for league growth, including outreach to local schools, community organizations, and businesses.
Implement marketing initiatives to attract new participants and teams to YMCA sports leagues.
Function as the primary liaison for league participants, ensuring a positive and inclusive experience.
Develop and maintain relationships with participants to encourage continued engagement.
Interview, train, develop, schedule, and direct volunteers and ensure volunteer program requirements are followed.
Train, develop, schedule, and direct staff.
Assist with hiring and reviewing/evaluating staff performance.
Develop strategies to motivate staff and achieve goals.
Manage league registration processes, ensuring a seamless and user-friendly experience for participants.
Maintain accurate participant records and leverage data for growth analysis.
Collaborate with branch staff to secure and optimize spaces for league activities.
Oversee equipment inventory, ensuring resources are available for league events and practices.
Coordinate and execute league events, including games, tournaments, and promotional activities.
Address any issues or conflicts that may arise during league activities.
Step in to cover schedule gaps on an as-needed basis.
Qualifications:
Previous experience in sports league coordination or event management (preferred).
Strong organizational and communication skills.
Knowledge of various sports rules and regulations.
Highly motivated self-starter; can work independently & solve problems.
Awareness and ability to take charge of any situation to ensure the safety of players.
Positive attitude and a strong ability to build professional relationships.
Ability to work flexible hours, primarily evenings and weekends.
